Our Spanish classes began in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, in 1980.

From the outset our method was out of the ordinary: we taught educated Mexican Spanish (as opposed to Castilian), gave explanations in English (instead of frustrating mimicking), cut class size down to 3 and gave much greater importance to conversational skills.

Also from the beginning we had to create  educational material which would meet our unique and changing requirements, especially taking into consideration our phone classes. 

Spanish Passport, our learning method, is the result of thousands of hours of class, feedback and research. Online Spanish is a natural extension to this program using the latest technology.

LanguagePoint is mentioned in Frommer's and (most of) our former students have been very satisfied with their learning experience. Those who haven't, have helped us improve different aspects of our teaching and they would probably not make the same complaint again!  

Who are the instructors?

The founder and director of LanguagePoint is from Mexico city. He completed his university studies in the UK where he earned a B.A.(Honours) in Latin American studies and the postgraduate teaching degree PGCE.

LanguagePoint instructors are bilingual (Spanish-English) professionals. Spanish being their mother tongue.

Most hold university or post graduate degrees in different fields. All are most competent in teaching with the LanguagePoint method.

You can be sure that your instructor will be patient, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and have a good sense of humour!
